Clear Automation designed and built this system to assemble, laser mark, inspect and package a cosmetic product. The system features 7 robots, 2 lasers, 4 cameras, conveyors, parts feeders, a central indexer, 2 robot controllers and a PLC. It manufactures 3 part styles, 8 at a time, 120 parts per minute, 24 hours per day.
This video was made as part of the Sound Design module at University. The piece contains footage of a variety of industrial manufacturing robots, performing various tasks and duties in a factory. The original sound from the video has been completely wiped and has been replaced by my own personal sound design. The majority of the sounds for the piece were sourced from the BBC sound effects library and were then subsequently manipulated to fit the motions of the robots. Thomas Neild
